Delicious vegan cooking in Lisbon
Did you know that over 20% of us on this earth are vegetarians or vegans? And the numbers are growing every day. No wonder one-fifth of the population has given up animal produce – it only has positive effects on the planet, environment and our wellbeing. The saying that ‘vegetarians only eat grass’ has been proven wrong a long time ago, but to really dive in to the delicious possibilities of plant based foods, here’s a few amazing vegan cooking workshops in Lisbon.
During this workshop we will learn how to veganise typical Portuguese fish dishes. The class includes an introduction to the world of seaweeds and preparation techniques. We will create the texture and taste of the traditional Portuguese seafood dishes, vegan version – Vegalhau a Bras and Caldeirada.
Learn different typical tapas (Petiscos in Portuguese) recipes. All plant-based! The menu includes Rissois do mar, Pasteis de Vegalhau, Croquetes fumados. Comes in handy when you have friends over for dinner!
The famous traditional Portuguese pastry, now for everyone! During this workshop, we will learn the vegan recipe of Pastel de Nata. Entirely plant based. To make things more interesting, we will try a few different versions: traditional Pastel de Nata, Chocolate and Lemon.
Introduction to the world of seaweed and its preparation techniques. We will learn the tricks of how to imitate the taste and structure of fish. We will also prepare “Sea bacon”, smoked “salmon” (carrot lox), and fantastic colorful seaweed caviar.
